Manchester United: A Successful Season

Manchester United proclaimed themselves as champions as they won their 10th Premier League title by overcoming Wigan.

Manchester was at all times the favorites to obtain the Premier League champions trophy, but let’s not forget Chelsea still remains the opponent in the Champions League final and the outcome could be very different for the Blues but evidently in the English Premier League destiny favored the Reds.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first goal for the Manchester and Ryan Giggs secured the title with his second goal for a final score of 2-0 over Wigan. On the other hand; Sir Bobby Charlton had a record with the club of 758 appearances. The manager Alex Ferguson denoted: "He's fantastic, he is a great athlete, a great person, a great footballer and nobody deserves to break records like he does. His record with Manchester United is unbelievable and I'm really proud of him. I've forgotten about the record already."

Cristiano Ronaldo has been an important part for Manchester during the entire season. Ronaldo exclaimed: "The supporters have been fantastic and have helped the team a lot. You feel good about that backing and it motivates us."

The club’s manager Alex Ferguson only had a small taste of his 10th title throughout his 16-year career before shifting all of his attention to the Champions League final confrontation against Chelsea and subsequently by the end of the season the Manchester expects to spend time strengthening key positions for what is coming next. Ferguson won one Champions League trophy in 1991 and has showed his remarkable coaching career. So a triumph over Chelsea next May 21st would be the best way to wrap up the season basically a double win for the Red Devils.

"The great thing is we are bouncing into the final. We can look forward to it. If we lost to Chelsea today that is a big job.” “I am very proud to have survived so long but I am at a great club which makes it easier for me than the rest," Ferguson alleged. Ferguson also foresees that the current United side will overpass Liverpool's overall total of 18 titles as United now has 17.

Chelsea’s boss Avram Grant, who despite of his job pressure and his team being undefeated by 21-game run in the league, mentioned Sir Alex Ferguson’s unquestionable accomplishments.

"I want to congratulate Manchester United and Alex Ferguson, he is a great manager and a great person, I like him personally. It is amazing what he did ", said Grant

Moreover; Grant exclaimed that for most clubs the season is already over but for Chelsea there is still one more opportunity to succeed; therefore they are getting ready for the final confrontation in the Champions League which will take place in Moscow.

One of Grant’s players John Terry, who dislocated his elbow few weeks ago but he will play Manchester United in the Champions League final. Terry quoted saying: "We've lost out on the league but we've still got the biggest trophy of all to go for and, hopefully, we'll be able to bring it back. It's easy to say now but the Champions League is the one trophy missing from my list. That's the one I want most of all."

Both teams have pursuit the victory but on May 21st, we will learn who would become the team to rise up the Champions League trophy …doubtless a very interesting and exciting event.
